Octy scout- Front passenger door lock weird

For some unknown reason when you unlock the car with the remote all other doors will unlock and open as expected when you pull the door handle. However the front passenger door will only open after you pull on the handle, release it and then pull a second time. I'm wondering if this is something coded in car security features or the lock is just broken. BTW on my car its one click to unlock drivers door and second click to open the rest.
