Pressure washers buying guide

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about getting a pressure washer for my car amongst other things. I did a search but the one mentioned from Argos is no longer available. I need it to have a foam gun attachment and not be mega expensive.

Most importantly it must be a decent make or one that you can recommend from your experiences with it, thanks

Karcher all the way.

Karcher all the way.

All the time, I've had one for years, cost about

I bought a JCB washer 1300 w from ebay with attachments for

Karcher for me too. I have tried many of the budget ones as well as an RAC one from Argos which broke midway down the gun and shot itself at the car luckily hitting the rear window and not breaking it.

I have said 5h17455 RAC pressure washer and I can actually say I hate it. Worst tool I ever bought.

I have a Karcher too. Very good.

We use Karcher Proffesional steam cleaners in work --- and they are bullet proof, I'm looking to get one shortly and I well definately be having a Karcher.

Bless you Stu  I've been doing my research on here and somebody was selling the little yellow box that attaches to the gun like sprayer (always been technically minded, me :D ) Would that go on a just a normal karcher washer as long as it used the gun sprayer?

Mr P doesn't know it yet but he's gonna be dragged round B&Q and Halfords today getting various bits and pieces for my new toy

It would depend on the fittings of the 'yellow box'.

The longer you leave it this year, the cheaper pressure washers will be because you aren't allowed to use them (well us Southern types anyway):

Even dealers down here got letters saying no car washing last summer.

Pixi. Our Karcher has a hose that comes out of the main unit that you dangle into a bucket of wahing solution stuff. Alternativly you can mix up the solution in the machine's internal reservoir - whilst this makes it more portable the reservoir isnt that big.

It draws a little of the mixture through with the water and sprays it out, nicely mixed, all over the car.
