My drilled out 16s don't fit....

Featured Replies

.... :grumpy:

Just tried to get one wheel fitted to my car - Got them on the hub nicely, they span clear of the 312s... but the damn holes don't line up - and I can't fathom out why. I was told these came off a Celica and they look like a 5 x 100 pattern - Is there any chance there's other 5 strud patterns out there that are smaller than 5 x 100, such as 5 x 95?

Is there just some off reason that I'm not aware of why one set of 5 x 100 alloys would not go on to a 5 x 100 hub? Its got me confuzzled I tell thee. :D

what year Celica? I thought they were 3 or 4 stud

Newier Celica are 5x100

Yeah - it was a newer one I think. 99+?

Its odd though. I never thought the offset would affect the bolt hole position. I can only assume that these are an ever so slightly different 5 stud pattern.

The alloys are "Stern" and says made in Japan, hence the Celica thing rings true.

If they are just out you may be able to get a wiggly bolt to fit them on IIRC 5x98 will fit a 5x100 with one of these, not preferable but does the job

Nope, definitely not considering any wiggly bolts for track use. Its got be right on and clear the 312s. Thats my only need (see my new wanted thread :D)

I'm beginning to think these wheels might be 5 x 98 - Would appear some Alfa's used them/uses them, as well as some other brands. No way of confirming from the wheel, which is damn annoying. :(

I dont want to be totally controversial here or claim I can carry out white mans magic but.......how about measuring it??

Jason.

Sounds like bigW says 5 x 98mm. Get yourself some wiggly bolts of ebay

Set a compass to 49mm and check it passes through the centers ( lay a wheel om a sheet of paper and draw down through the bolt holes)

Wiggly Bolts???

I used wiggly bolts on my Astra with no problems, they torque up just fine and never had any issues.

A simple google search turned up these..

Not now. :( I just got them locally off Ebay. I did the ruler thing and imagined a hole directly opposite on of the others. Looked smack on 5*100 to me, but could be 5 x 98. However I couldn;t get them to line up. And they appeared a lot more than 2mm out at most.
