Roomster dials fault

Featured Replies

Hi, I've got a roomster 1.6tdi on a 62 plate. I've been getting intermittent faults with the dials for a few month. Sometimes when you turn the engine over, nothing shows on the dials and electrics don't work (indicators, electric windows, power steering, heater etc.). After a short drive the dials come back on but flashes the coil symbol. If you turn engine off it resets. But its happening all to frequently, and today the engine management light as stayed on. Anybody got any ideas? If the light is still on tomorrow I'll get it put on diagnostic machine. Cheers

Hi silver1011 I had my mechanic look over the car and he found that there had previously been a fault on the car which had been resolved by putting a stereo adapter cable in to the fuse box to bypass one of the ports. The adapter was faulty and one of the fuses was loose. So he changed the stereo adapter and it has since resolved all the faults. He also cleaned out all the fuse board with electrical cleaner. Hope this helps.
