Back again after 5 years

Featured Replies

I have returned and renewed my membership with Briskoda after at least 10 years although i have owned a skoda superb estate from new for the last 5 years. I bought it off the showroom floor from Caffyns in Tunbridge Wells with a 2 year extended manufactures warrenty which is about to run out.  Overall i have been very pleased with the car, relaible and comfortable to drive with excellect loading capacity which has been invaluable for my job. It has been brilliant family / work car. HOWEVER -- the reason i find myself turning to BRISKODA is that I am having an absolute disaster with the19" alloys and the constantly bursting tyres evert time i hit a pot hole or slight raised edge. Yes I live in the countryside and the road are a bad, but it  all came to head yesterday when i burst both the front and rear tyres after hitting a pot hole. I recon i have bought at least 5 new tyres (Branded not budget) in the last 6 months. It is because the side wall of the tyres  are so narrow, every time the side wall gets pinched against the alloy wheel it splits WITHOUT FAIL.

I will be asking advice on appropriate steel wheel replacement with wide wall tyres

Hi and welcome back the best place to ask a question is in your models section, which you'll find a little down the board. That area is more frequented than the hello section and will have actual owners of your car to hand that can help. Hope you sort it.

Welcome back to Briskoda

Welcome back!

A warm welcome back.  Yep - heard the roads were pretty poor in Kent, none seem to be up to much these days:angry:
