TCS button

Featured Replies

Hi

Got question about TCS button, when I press it it shows on screen it's off, but button doesn't light up, is it OK? Or should light this button on? Same as start/stop system button.

Superb Mk3

Thanks.

I don’t think the button does light up and I’d be tempted to trust whatever the dash says. I’m sure if I am wrong then someone will correct me.

Just checked mine. The button doesn't light up. One weird thing though - when I deactivate traction control (ASR as Skoda call it) it tells me the front assist is unavailable. Turning ASR back on, front assist is available again. Is this normal?

Yep, front assist also deactivates when it’s in sport also. I would assume it’s for track use where you would get a lot closer to the car in front than in an normal driving situation.

I would think plod must have it deactivated for their type of use as well.

Front Assist off for many reasons, part of that being why people might switch off TC / ASR as you know if your read the Owners Manual.

To get a vehicle out of snow if stuck, or when snow chains are fitted.
