Scout Rear Suspension upgrade?

Featured Replies

Hi all

After some advice please

Want to install some MAD spring assistors on my 2011 Ocy Scout. Im wanting to replace the springs and dampers at the same time... why not as its done 147k and when towing the back end just sits too low.. even a light trailer..

Question is.. to go with the Assistors,

1.Standard dampers and springs from Skoda

2.Oem spec aftermarket parts

3.Uprated parts

Links / personal experience would be helpful

Dont want to ruin the ride / handing , just want better towing comfort..

Thanks all

I wouldn't use Skoda springs I'd use Lesjofors if available  you could fit the assistors and remove if they are a real pain,   on my 4x4 not scout, I went up one size on the rear AR bar with poly bushes --it WAS worth doing

So Lesjofors are a better spring? Plus decent dampers and assistors...

Increasing the polybush to a bigger size made it stiffer?

Kilen do heavy duty towing springs and can't go wrong with OEM replacement bilstein b4 shocks (or b6 shocks if you after something really heavy duty but these are expensive)

only bushed the arb so no difference there      start a couple of days early with the Plus-Gas
