Electrical Faults

Featured Replies

I've a 2018 superb estate free 1.6 d greenline. Over the past four months I've returned to my car to find the boot open at least four times  and on one occasion all for windows down. The car is always locked secure. I haven't yet reported these faults because they're intermittent and I know from experience witha Peugoet that intermittent electrical problems are hard to locate.

Today the car has been parked. The electrical handbrake applied and it's rolled 10 metres into another car causing damage to my car. The car was locked and we were able to push the car back back proving the handbrake had been disengaged.

Has only one had similar problems.

Manual gearbox?

Windows opening can happen when you sit on the key fob. If it's a manual leave the car in gear in a DSG leave it in park and it won't roll away if the handbrake fails.

It can also happen if you squat or bend and have small pockets or a too large package. Don't look at the ladies and windows won't open anymore :)
