Skoda fabia 1.4 55 kw 2004- cold starts

Featured Replies

Hi folks!
I've an issue with my car. If engine's cold it doesnt want to start. It starts to shake with whole car, like 2 pistons running or something related to it. On second attempt it works just fine, but i've cluth issue, it just doesnt work properly. If Iam parked on hill its very difficult to gear reverse cause it doesnt want to react on low gas. I need to get higher RPM to reverse. After I drive for like 5 meters, something in brakes make like "scratch" sound and after that moment everything works exelent. I need just those 5 meters but staying in line of cars doesnt allow me to do that so its really hard ( I live on hill :( ). After engine is heated, everything is EXELENT! No errors in VAG.

My question is, what do you suggest? What it may cause? I know it seems that there is no connection between brakes and engine itself "figuratively speaking" but believe me after that moment everything is fine.

Only thing that VAG shows is throttle is little bit dirty but still in "healhy state"

Thank you for all your suggestions!

When did you last look at the spark plugs?

It sounds like your handbrake is sticking on?

@Pajas - I agree with Wino's diagnoses.

I can feel scratch on pedal brake. About spark plugs I have no idea when it was changed. So it may be first step to take. I’ll change it and inform you. Nothing to do with handbreak.
