Help, which brake pads

Featured Replies

Hi, looking to change my brake pads all round on my 09 LE and everytime I look for something for this car is throws up more than one option, was looking at Mintex site and they show 2 sets of fronts and 2 sets of rears and I am not sure which ones I need, this is what it is showing me at the moment, would anyone know which ones are the right ones?

Find a site that asks for your registration and/or chassis number. That should only return one option for a given brake manufacturer for each axle.

I tried 3 ECP, CPL and Mintex, they all come up with the 2 options.

You need to match the PR codes shown in those listings with the ones on the sticker in the front of your service book or in spare wheel well.

Ah, I will check the service book, many thanks

Checked the service book and found 1KP for the rears but there is nothing for the front which at the moment is Ok as I checked the front pads and there is plenty of meat on them, would be nice to know for future reference though, I thought all VRS had 312mm front discs, wonder what the difference is in pads for them.

Thanks for the help will order the rears for now.

Yes all VRS have 312mm discs and I thought they all used the same pads? Maybe a VRS owner can confirm?

288mm & 312mm use same pads and calipers.  Only the caliper carrier and rotor are different.

I would have answered earlier but I didn't have the foggiest what an "LE" was.  We don't have that designation down here.

it's really helpful to put the details of your vehicle in the body of the post as often it doesn't appear when browsing on mobile devices.
