@irishpie I can't see why you'd want to. If you want the ~3% fuel saving, save time and more money and press the "Econ" button.

Don't have to keep looking down at screen and pressing loads of buttons to alter it. That's why.

I know you're supposed to set the thing for 22ºC, which is what Škoda-VAG have decided is the perfect temperature for anyone under any conditions... but they're wrong and conditions change quite rapidly. So the ability to just flip things around at teh drop of a hat can be useful.

Well, I normally leave mine on 18C or Lo; In fact I'd set it cooler, around 16C, if that was a standard feature.

To be honest I've never felt the need to change the temperature from the second I first get in it unless it rains and I need heat directing onto the screen.

 

Got to be honest though its a pretty dam simple procedure and its not like it ever has to be done in an emergency. Is it really worth the argo

I should think almost everything behind the dashboard would need swapping from a car with climatic, so pretty far from straightforward.
