Featured Replies

Hi all, plugged in my 06 2.0 tdi pd to reset the oil light and have found a couple of codes, can anyone shed any light on them please??

That looks like the ASV - Anti Shudder Valve. This is a throttle body that opens when you turn the ignition on and closes when you switch off the engine to aid in a smooth shutdown of the engine.

I also believe that is moves position during various EGR use.

I've had to replace mine before on my BKD engine.  The cogs were plastic inside and it was fairly common they would strip.

Pic shows the ASV with the EGR above it.

Check the wiring too and reseat the plug too.

Clear the codes and see if comes back though. Could be a one off.  Guess you've not noticed any drivability issues?
