Planing on refurbing my alloys next week when all the bits arrived.

Question. Anybody remember or know the size of the centre caps on 16" vrs mk1 alloy.

Years ago I ordered some custom stickers off here. But as per normal and many house moves and two children later I've lost them.

Cheers in adv

Are you replacing the actual plastic centre cap or just putting a new sticker on the outside face?

Phil,

I bought the ones in the link below. 56.5mm. Perfect fit.

Sounds similar to mine should look something like this to give you a rough idea:

Sweet. I know it's night in picture. But mine might be a little lighter.

Originally years ago I wanted to paint them a colour from Ford which was gunmetal, with a lilac/ purple fleck. Sounds horrible but looked amazing against the black paint.

Couldn't find the paint code so settled for the next best thing

Yeah I wanted mine darker than gun metal grey or charcoal but not black, i took it into the bodyshop and my guy recommended that colour to me it’s a Ferrari paint code Grigio something or other. It also has like a metal fleck in which makes the wheels change colour when the light hits it from different angles with a sort of purple look to it like you say you want. Looks good especially after a clean when the light hits it. The badges on the brakes are good too I didn’t expect them to last as they looked quite flimsy when I put them on but they are still going strong two years later.

I'll some before and after pics of the wheels.

I've got a couple of weeks off, which means I have little time to give the car some tlc

In hindsight should have took the calipers off to paint. But just don't have the time. Also change the pads and discs to freshen up. But still plenty of life and meat in them

Nice work,  just need the discs like your say but no point in changing them until you need too! Look forward to seeing your wheels next
