Skoda Fabia 6Y22 2002 broken window

Featured Replies

Hi,

As my topic title says I have a broken Skoda Fabia 2002 which has a broken window (passenger side).  I've searched using breakeryard.com and a local breaker yard but I can't find a replacement window.  Where's the best place for my to get hold of one.  I would consider purchasing a new door.....ideally in the same colour.  Is there a really good 'place' where one can get windows/doors and even other parts for a car like mine?  Thank you.

I used to be on here a couple of years ago and found the forum very helpful.  I forgot my old handle so I've signed up again. :-)

I should have said a front passenger side window.

Have you looked on ebay for a used one?

Is it the front passenger door and is it tinted or not?

EDIT: Sorry, missed your extra post.

I have found a couple of doors on ebay.  Often they are only door shells.  I can't find any window only on ebay.  If I do buy a complete door then I'll have to have it re-sprayed to match the rest of the car.  Or I could take what I need off the  'new' door such as the window etc and put it on the old.  I don't think it's such an easy task though.  Maybe buying a door and respraying it is the best option?

Yes front and not tinted.

Yes the description is right but the window in the photo looks like a drivers side one. They might just be using a generic image though.

I just checked the parts catalogue and the front windows are indeed the same on the estate.

Thank you for your help.  I like my  Fabia but I'm going to change it when the MOT runs out at the beginning of next year.  I may get another Fabia.

No probs.
