Red Mk1 Hatch - Value

Featured Replies

Hi

I was trying to gauge the value of my 2003 Octavia VRS in Red with 103,000 miles. I'm guessing the more desirable are those that have not been completely keved up. I would say mine has had only very mild "keving"

Black scuff strips have been colour coded

Debadged the front by spraying the whole chrome surround and badge matt black

Removed rear wiper as it kept failing and probably saved 752 grammes

It has had a stage 1 remap but no engine components have been altered aside from a decent panel filter

Sorry pictures are not great - a quick dash to works car park.

MOT is due November.

Looking around, I see quite large variations in what people are asking for from under 1K to well over 2K

I was in the market 4mths ago and I'd of been interested in yours because its got reasonably low mileage but I would of held back on the cash so I had enough to get a new set of black rub strips, sorry but it defeats the object a bit if they are painted and I prefere them black (just personal choice)

Anyway back in March I paid £1800 for a standard 54-plate Corrida red hatch with 74k, 2 previous owners and full history so there is your guide.

I reckon £1750 for yours

Thanks for that. I'm in Cornwall which is some sort of parallel universe where cars seem to sell for 15% more than anywhere else. Your recent purchase is a good guide though.

Might be an interesting read with values

But ⬆⬆⬆ was for sale for quite a while and still sold for probably £400 more than it was worth
