No clues in the MOT history (sometimes the burning of oil hits the emissions and/or damages the cat )

MOT about to expire and on the last one the brake disks, exhuast  and rear tyres were on the way out:-

  • back box outer skin corroded
  • front and rear discs slightly corroded
  • n/s/r and o/s/r tyre treads low

Ah well it was on a potential shortlist, woosed out / was lectured by the elders into getting a newer car for the wife so got an almost new Citygo instead for not a lot of much more than we were looking at for 2013 vRS/Montes ( Montes are the most overpriced, some vRS looking good value in comparison).

Montes will just be the price the market sets for them, if they sell at asking prices then that is what you have to pay, if they are not selling you offer less.

Pre 2012 1.2 TSI are risky, as are 1.6TDI CR with the VW Fix and new engine management and a piece of plastic in the air intake,

so just wind up the seller.

As to the Mk2 vRS Fabia, tell the seller over 25% of the 1,800 CAVE cars have had rebuilt or replaced engines, and CTHE engines are not issue free.

Buyers market, you just need to find good ones, that is the lottery of it.

The White one with the enthusiast first owner and enthusiast current owners seems like a winner.
