Firstly apologies if these have been asked about before, I don’t have time to search the forum just now. 

 

I have two issues:

 

I need a new rear box/section for my exhaust (2007 vrs petrol estate) I’ve phoned around all the local places and they’re all saying that this is main dealer only and I’m looking at £400+, is this right? I can’t imagine a fairly common/vag car needing a replaceable part such as the exhaust being main dealer only. A couple of the garages I have spoken to have told me it will be cheaper to get one made for me, any ideas of pricing for this? I’m not looking for some sports exhaust or to make me sound like some chavvy boy racer, just want a standard fit.

 

My second issue is with my n/s rear light cluster, it doesn’t work. I’ve checked fuse and all bulbs, no joy, I have the warning light on the dash, I’ve checked the wiring from lights as far back to the b pillar, no issues that I can see, help!

The part number you need for an estate vRS rear silencer is 1K5 253 609 AG according to the screenshot.

 

This place is reasonable at around €220. But, annoyingly, it says they cannot ship it, whereas they can supposedly ship the hatchback version. They are based in the Czech Republic, so a bit of a drive!
