Charcoal filter soleoid?

Featured Replies

Having had the diagnostic on why my engine management light is on, this came out as the result. Annoyingly, serious or not, i need to get it done, as otherwise something serious could happen, and I would get no early warning from the management light.

So...does anyone know how much I should be looking to pay to get something like this sorted? The dealership are ringing me back with a price later today, and I'd like to have an idea of a fair price if anyone is able to.

Cheers

If it is the same valve the Octavia is fitted with, the cost is circa £68.

You dont say what engine, assusming you have an 'incorrect purge flow' fault stored its a 1.4.

The valve sits in the engine bay next to the coolant reservior in a little rubber band type mounting.

Common fault, however usually attributed to the canister itself no longer filtering vapour from the tank. Can also be broken by overfilling the car with petrol, especially if your one of these people that likes to brim the tank and flick the little lever in the filler to get that little bit more in.

Sorry, yes, its a 1.4, 02 plate.

Bizzarely, after doing a diagnostic, for nothing, they haven't got back to me yet to tell me how much they'd like from me to fix it.
