GPS radio

Featured Replies

Hi!

I'm the owner of a 2015' Skoda Fabia, with the Bolero audio system, and I totally miss the GPS in my unit. I asked the concessionaire where I bought the car, and they told me there's no official way to install another system in my car with integrated GPS. I don't wanna miss all the steering wheel buttons, or the additional info that the Bolero radio gives. Do you know about a GPS radio that works properly with our model?

Thank you in advance (And excuse me for my english, is not my first language)

Hi Hannash,

welcome to Briskoda!

Just checking, do you mean GPS radio or DAB?

Excuse me, maybe I didn't explain myself. I just want a unit to replace the Bolero that has integrated GPS, I don't care if it doesn't have DAB.

Thank you for your welcome and your quick response! :)

I looked on the Kufatec site, but nothing like that for Fabia 111.

So I'd guess that you are looking for one of the aftermarket units that does everything, I think that there are many warnings out there to advise you not to buy a China special that relies on some very old Android S/W that because it has been illegally copied, can not be updated.

As I thought, then. It's a pity, because I'd like to have an all-in-one solution. Thank you anyway :)

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much, I'm going to try buying it here in Spain, and I'll tell you how it was. Thank you again!

I wouldn't bother getting the GVN-MIB1 now unless you can get it at a very good price: apparently it is no longer supported by Kenwood, and allegedly there will be no further (official) map updates for it.

I was not implying that there was no aftermarket all in one bits of kit that you could replace your radio with, I think if money is no object, quite a few VW Group people are looking at Alpine's solution, but with that name it must mean big money, good luck there must be sensible solutions out there, I'll be old school and keep using my TomTom 6000 that has lifetime map updates as I've got 2 cars without built in Sat Nav.
