Columbus buttons

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 yeti with  Columbus nav system that is missing the top of the “Radio” button, my local Skoda dealer is asking stupid money to exchange the unit, can anyone recommend someone who could repair it. This button does work, but you have to operate with your little finger.

thanks

Someone posted a similar question a while ago here.

He appears now to be not interested in the solution I offered so maybe it would be of use to you?

Can you get hold of new button tops, mine has gone missing after it fell of, I am sure it was dislodged by the auto windscreen guy, but he denied it.

also what is the recommended way to remove the piece of trim to allow access to the four screws to removed the unit ?

thanks again

If the button top has come off, then you'll need to remove the button assembly to refit a new one (or replace the whole button array which would probably be easier). I can't supply a new button or array, as I don't have any.

To remove the trim, just use a trim tool at the bottom corners to unclip the bottom edge of the surround, then across the top in 2 or 3 places to unclip the top edge. Simples.

Do you know of a supplier of spare parts?

thank you for your excellent advice

No, not managed to find a supplier of new buttons. Suppliers on Aliexpress have buttons for the Columbus, but they're a different font and different functions on them, so no use.
