CAN ANYONE HELP

Most of the bright trim around the windows of my lovley new car has developed white marks 

Not every bright metal window trim is marked in this way.

 

Has anyone got any ideas.

What caused this

Is this a known problem

Can anything be used to clean this off

I noticed this on mine this week and wondered if I splashed some screen cleaner on it while I was removing some bird muck. Very annoying.

Skoda Dealership employees should know about it as well as working with Skoda New Cars are their full time jobs.

I've seen reports of white spots on the wheels but not on the chrome plastic trim (unless I missed them). Any links to other posts about this problem will be much appreciated. Is it a warranty claim?
