Anyone with LPG converted 1.2 tsi 105hp

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a fabia mk2 MC 2012, 1.2 tsi 105hp. I am considering converting to LPG. Petrol is becoming insanely expensive in here..

Had any one pleaaaase had his 1.2 tsi converted to lpg ? If so can you please share your experience? Any issues ? How much petrol does it burn along with lpg ? How much lpg mpgs ? Any info will be appreciated :-)

thank you

Sorry not an answer to the Question.

But what is the fitters you are thinking on using saying on the subject.

The only petrol used should be what the car need to start on if you are going for that system.

When i had LPG on my petrol engines they had no Petrol Tank and did not require petrol to start, but they were V6's & V8's and built as LPG running engines,

rather different from the likes of a TSI.

I have seen post on here in the Fabia and Roomster section on LPG Conversions i seem to remember,

and also from members that had cars with the Factory Fitted Systems.  I can not remember in which countries they were though.

Hello Offski,

I didnt know there is an lpg system that did not need petrol. Wow thats cool.

I just wanted to know if it is worth it, considering lpg and if the 1.2 tsi conversion is a success, meaning no problems and no effect on the engines health.

Well I will search more on the forum, I didnt know there is an lpg section here but thanks anyway :)

There is not a LPG Section, there were just posts at various times.

The LPG Engines that run without petrol were built with Cylinder Heads / Valves to suit not having the lubrication that Petrol Provides,

and these were using the higher octane that LPG provides, but that is not the same Octane from LPG in every country.

Running LPG only meant that a Tachograph was not required when using commercially, as well as the Orange 110 Land Rover in the Gallery i had a V6 Petrol

Pickup that was on LPG only.
