Car alarm fuse removal

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’ve recently started driving my first car, Skoda Fabia mk1 year 2000. The car alarm keeps randomly going off - 4 times in the last 9 days or so (that I know of).

Ive looked it up and seen that I can get a diagnostic to check the issue, and I’ve also read that you should get your alarm replaced every 6 or so years which is probably the problem (I doubt it’s ever been replaced).

However, I don’t have the time or money to sort this out for another few weeks at least, and was wondering if I could take the fuse out for the alarm to stop it going off? It stops after 15 seconds or so anyway just hoping to silence it.

I havs tried locking the door by pressing twice quickly, and by turning he key in the drivers door, which I heard might help. Both haven’t made a difference

Thanks :)
