The light problem Octavia 2

Featured Replies

Hey ,

I wanted to powering my leds from the light control block , but for the first time I wanted to see how the tension was . I didn't realize how it worked there, being too many wires. And I didn't do anything, and I put the light control block back in his place.

I did not touch anything, I did not change anything, I just measured it.

My problem is that if the road light comes on and the ignition stops, the light (the xenon stays lit) +* (and even if I leave my driving light and put in the position, my xenon remains on)

Even if they stop the contact or remove the ignition key, the xenon does not stop. It stops only when I put the light control block on 0.

Before filling in the light control unit (repeat only I measured I did not do anything else), if I stopped the contact or took out the ignition key, the xenon stopped and remained in the position, and I called in the car *** (now I do not even call when xenon is on)

Can you tell me if I've touched anything? Did I ruin anything? What happened when I do not turn off the lights (xenon)

Please, if you can help me !

I put some pictures with the control block.

It's a little difficult to understand your problem.

Are you saying that you've changed some settings using VCDS, or simply changed the headlight switch?

Since you've made the changes, your dipped headlights are lighting up with the switch in both the sidelight and dipped headlight positions?

sounds like lost in translation.

but it sounds like he removed the headlight switch control, to try and power some LED lights.  he put it back, and now his low beams are misbehaving.

the lights are always on, until "put the light control block on 0".  i assuming he's referring to the 0 (off) position on the headlight switch.

Yes exactly , (but I did not change anything ... I just measured the tension)

Did I touch anything? Did I break anything?
How can I fix my problem with the lights?

hello, does anyone know how to fix the problem with the lights?

It's impossible to know what damage you've done...

Have you tried a VCDS autoscan to see what fault codes are present? You might have shorted something or damaged some wiring when you were trying to measure the voltage (tension).

buy a used light control switch and see if the issues exist.

p.s. coincidently, i have a spare one from my mk2 Octavia RS.

PM me if ur interested.
