Which headlight bulb in Mark 2 5J Fabia

Featured Replies

Can anyone confirm which headlight bulb is in the Fabia MK2 is it a H7 or H4. I think its a double filament bulb and there is only the indicator bulb and the W5W bulb. Different websites say different things.

Thanks.

H7

yep h7

Still not sure because it is a double filament bulb and I thought double filament bulbs were all H4

What model is the Fabia? The lower spec ones have twin filament H4, the higher 2 x H7. If you have the standard reflector headlight as opposed to the projector which looks a bit like a magnifying glass, it's H4.

.;..And then again, mine has a single H4 on projector headlights. Earlier k2's have and I think facelifts HAVE THE TWO BULBS.

Its a 2011 with one bulb so must be H4 so some websites are listing the bulbs wrong even when you include your reg number.

I think you will find that it is a single filament bulb, which is not an H4. There is a projector headlight unit with one bulb and a flap to produce the dip, but I am sure the bulb is an H7 .

Yeah, my mistake... Got confused for some reason, hence gone in to BIG BOY writing! its an H7 on an earlier mk2.  And, yes, it has the flappy motorised projectors. Typo's, tiredness, all take their toles, sorry, tolls!

MATT1,  now you have told us it is a 2011 car, can you say exactly what Mk2 Fabia it is?  Engine / Trim / Model.

1.2 s HTP I think I will take the bulb out and look it does not have the motorised projectors so must be H4 some bulb websites are wrong some people would order the wrong bulb.

Now I'm confused. I have a pre facelift mk2 with projector headlights, does that mean a single bulb or two?

Can you see another headlight bulb other than the projector lens. Switch main and dip  on and check what lights up. If only the projector lights up you only have one bulb each side.

OT a bit, but before anyone asks about Mk2 vRS lights and the sidelight bulb.

The Blue bulb is a dummy and the DRL Unit is also the Sidelights, and the car has no front fog lights, and when the MOT Examiner fails the car on no Sidelights tell them to think about it.
