Well lads,

 

Only hot air is coming out of the driver's side air vents after the engine reaches temperature.

 

I scanned the car (2010 Octavia VRS with Climatronic) and it showed the following fault code:

 

9475345 - Position Sensor for Right Temperature Flap Motor
B1095 11 [009] - Short to Ground

Fault Frequency: 254

 

I'm assuming I need a new right hand side flap motor.

 

I see a flap motor under the driver's footwell on the left behind the dash and it seems to be working perfectly, i.e. seems to have a full range of motion as it responds to turning the temp control knob on the dash.

 

In most vids/guides I have seen (mostly LHD cars) the right flap motor is to the right in under the glovebox just behind the dash.

 

Can anyone confirm that this is infact the right flap motor, as opposed to the one to the left of the driver's footwell?
