vrs springs....

Featured Replies

on a combi 2.0 will they be ok with the dampers i have? i presume the 2.0 is only slightly lighter than the 1.9 td sooooo..... just need to know yes or no and shouldnt be no side affects right?

cheers people:)

Not sure, but i have 6 month old standard springs you can buy if you want :)PM me if you are interested.

Your car will be lighter at the front and heavier at the back, Leon - so it MAY not sit quite right. I'd *guess* that it'd be fine and if I were you I'd give it a go, used springs can be had quite cheaply.

eibach state this

Fabia hach front 900kg Rear 800kg

fabia vrs front 960kg rear 800

estate front 900kg rear 875kg

It'll probably mess up the balance plus the front would be higher and the rear would be lower.

Simple anwser. No.

The 1.9 PD100 springs are compatible with the 2.0l one but the vRS springs are not due to the extra nose weight. Whether you want to try it and see is another matter though ;) Be prepared for an insurance hike too!

 The PD100 is almost identical weight balance to the vRS . . . . isn't it? I was looking at some vRS springs myself, I hope they do work.

pd100 weighs less at the front - only a bit less though,

Plus fitting though.

PD100 springs do not work on a vRS, trust me been there done that.

it'll still be a 2.0combi at the end... springs or not!
