I am in a phone so if it says at the left which mk2 fabia you have I can not see it.   So which is it.  There are threads showing fuse boxes for fabia mk2 if you look and have no owners manual.  Or someone will be along that can help

Just know as a 2012 model Skoda Fabia estate

Top right fuse in panel below steering wheel in my Reaction.

Keypur,

so i see now it is a Mk2 Fabia 1.6TDI Estate.  Is it a Monte Carlo or a S, SE, SE Plus, Elegance or a Scout?

Hi its just an s I believe

Pre 2013 Fabias (and some post) had a big switch in the fuse box also! which turns the DRL's off, some service centres are notorious for switching them off during services and MOT's and then not turning them back on!

My 2013 Facelift Greenline has a mahoosive hole in the fuse box where the switch should be. but ,if I recall, after June/July 2013 if a car was fitted with DRL's they HAD to be live and working! so the switch was removed!

^^^ Partly correct.

The New Type Approved cars had to have the DRL's fitted as standard after the date.   (EU Reg, New Car & Vans after February 2011.  New Type Approved that was.)

They did not have to be used, still to this day do not have to be used to this day in the UK. (If no switch you can remove fuses or bulbs, issue with Nk2 vRS is the DRL Unit is the Sidelight Issue, the same unit, just dimmer as the Sidelights.)

The Mk2 Fabia was not New Type Approval after February 2011 and neither was the 2014 Mk3 Fabia.

The Switch was removed from beside the Fuses on the Mk2 vRS Fabia, maybe others as well if they had them.

Technicians switch them off because sometimes they need to on the Diagnostics, doing Software Updates, or because they are annoying when working on the car with ignition on or to other road users on road tests, or maybe to wind up customers who come to forums saying, 'My DRL's no longer work....
