Led Fog fitting

Featured Replies

So I bought a set of Osram LEDriving fog lamps off power bulbs. But there H8, and obviously the ordinary Octavia is h8 and the vRS is H1, is there any bracket I could buy to accommodate these fog lamp bulbs without sending them back? Because looking I don’t think you can get Osram H1 main beam or fog light bulbs. I was looking and sen brackets for vws but I thought I would consult here first though before buying more stuff. For a 2008 vRS

thanks

Any ideas??

Best plan is probably returning them and buying an appropriate bulb.

Some LED bulbs do accept adaptors but I doubt the Osram ones would. Some pictures of the bulb might give some clues, does the H8 adaptor look removable?

The bulbs are vastly different - looking at the base on the H1 it has notch in it and the H8 is a circular - even if there was an adapter the bulb wouldn't be sat in the correct position to allow the Correct beam pattern.

ive just googled H1 bulb and a few LED variants popped up - whether they are any good or not is a different story.

Yea thanks man such a shame because they are class bulbs but just unfortunate, was looking for something to match the 4300k factory xenons but the yellows will jyst have to do lol, unless i bit 2013+ vrs. back they go lol.

For all the times you actually need fog lights is it really worth the effort... Unless you're one of those types that drive with them on all the time and dazzle everyone else.

Not really and no I dont dazzle people lol, I'm not that bad. I never use them so I probably won't bother anyways now.

Thanks
