Hopefully someone here has had to swap an ASZ engine from an Octavia 1U. The pipe on the radiator popped off and it overheated and warped the pistons on my current my engine. The car is currently in Belgium and I need to get another engine to there to replace it. I was wondering

1. How much should I be expected to pay? Roughly in time how long did it take would be easier I guess.

2. Would a 130hp/96kw Superb engine fit or is it the AVF instead of ASZ?

A straight swap I can do it in ten hours but a garage might charge 8-12 hours. It is also best to change the water pump and timing belts before the engines goes in to the car. 

(I might be wrong in thinking the Superb mk1 engine was in line not transverse)
