Auto switch off headlamps.

Featured Replies

I have a 62 plate elegance estate with a DSG box and I noticed last night that when I park up and remove the ignition key, with the headlights on, all my external lights go out but if the head light switch is on side lights only then I get the audible warning and sides stay on. Is this a standard feature or an extra? Also I don't have auto lights. Thanks.

Sorry no idea,

but i like that on cars that do that and miss it on ones that do not.

They are parking lights, it's explained in the manual ;)

Do you think if Is it possible that in parking lights the tails not illuminate all 4 bulbs in each of the cluster and leave for example 1 or 2 bulbs for preventing battery drainage after long time parking ?

Sure, if the car has a BCM you should be able to choose the top, two side or bottom bulbs or a combination using VCP/ODIS-e.
