MKII 2.0 FSi exhaust

Featured Replies

Long time lurker but finally can't find any info on a specific issue I'm having with my Octavia!

It's a 2007 2.0l FSi manual Estate

Basically, I need a new exhaust. I've rang around a few places but they can't see to find it. Kick Fit even said they had to go to the main dealer to find the part and quoted +£600! - This is for a CAT back only, middle and back sections.

I'm in Bristol and not to bothered if its genuine or pattern or other. I've had a few exhausts done in my time but usually for a lot less than that.

Seems a bit steep or am I wrong?

Does anyone else know if the exhaust from an equivalent VAG model, Golf/ A3 etc are the same as there are a few 2.0 FSi version between the ranges. (I'm thinking not but thought I would put it out there).

Nice one ;)

I posted some information in a thread on TFSI vRS estate exhausts not so long ago, with part numbers so you can ask your local TPS or VAG garage for prices and/or search eBay etc.:

An aftermarket non-resonanted (loud) Milltek centre and rear sections system is just over £400. A custom exhaust place may be able to make one up cheaper.

Thanks for the reply Mankee, do you know if the part numbers the same for the TFSi (vRS) and the naturally aspirated 2.0 FSi? Or the best place to find the part numbers? With past VWs I could ring/ go into the dedicated VW parts shop to find out. Do Skoda have the same sort of thing as I can't seem to find it online?

If the exhausts are interchangeable on a TFSi and FSi that would be excellent and much easier to find.

I'm struggling to find the exact part numbers online, the garages I called to ask for quotes mostly have come back with they can't find the part from their supplier. Thats's based on using my REG not part numbers. The quote I got originally from KwicFix as a benchmark was sourcing from the main dealer. A specialist VAG mechanic came back with a slightly cheaper quote of £570 but I don;t know where they wee sourcing the part from.

I've just searched the site and found some links to part number sites, which may be a good start. Will check them out now

Sorry, I'm an idiot and didn't read properly! Just assumed that you had a 2.0 TFSI vRS, doh!

This is the parts site I usually use for part numbers. Hopefully you can find your car and engine code on there to look for the part numbers:

Sick that is a good shout - cheers. Looking at it there are two part numbers one of which has been "cancelled" might be why they can't find it on their system. Will did a bit deeper but thanks very much for the help

Going to have to double check my engine code when I get home but for some reason an exhaust for my Skoda seems rarer than hens teeth. Of the places that listed it none had stock. Who knew an exhaust would be so hard to find and so much $$$$$$$$$

If you have a custom exhaust made up like I did, you certainly don't need to worry about part numbers. Had mine done in Leeds, nearly 200 miles from my place. He has a really good reputation and uses Longlife stainless steel exhausts made up for your model of car, that is why I traveled so far. Another reason was they were £100 cheaper up north than close to where I live in Oxfordshire. They also make sure you get the sound you want. You have a Longlife centre near you in Thornbury. Check out their reviews and if good, might be worth thinking about.

Top advise roaddetective - thanks.

I enquired on Friday and have it booked in for today. The price is going to end up being around £370 built and fitted with a twin tailpipe (was an extra £50). I want it to look fairly stock to be honest so hoping they have one that will be similar to the vRS. But saving a couple of hundred and getting a custom made exhaust is pretty unbelievable.

Good result. Thanks again for all the input ;)

Hopefully if that is what you want, you will get. I also wanted a stock looking twin round tailpipe and I got one. The 2 round ends are just a little larger than the standard ones, but these shiny tips look good to me. Photo of tips below. By the time you read this message, you should have it all fitted and sounding great.. 20171230_132518.thumb.jpg.e12518e35efa5470bb43872dbe3fb42f.jpg

Nice. I ended up going for a slashed slightly oval twin, bit more S6 style. Which more or less matched the profile of the bumper and had it tucked away a bit. It was mostly due to what they had in stock but they did a top notch job.

I'm happy with it, definitely makes my lowly 2.0l look faster than it is and there is only a little difference in the noise levels from stock in a good way. It was also about half the cost of the next cheapest quote and should last a lifetime!

Cheers again for the replies
