BOOT SENSOR

Featured Replies

From day one I felt the boot foot sensor was not consistent.  Went back to dealer who more or less agreed that even with the recommended kick at 90* to the horizonal ie straight forward under car like kicking a ball  (recommended) did not always function. Am not a happy bunny considering this was an extra.

It rarely worked on my previous Ford Kuga as well - often left me pirouetting like a cr*p Rudolf Nureyev.....

I was told to imagine I was trying to kick a football in to the top left corner of the goal.

Worked for me on the demonstrator car we borrowed. Didn’t bother with it on either of our Bears as it was amusing but not a necessity.

Had to laugh watching a woman trying to open the boot on her Mercedes C-Class the other day, the delay between her activating the sensor and the boot starting to open was just long enough for her to think it hadn't worked and try again, which of course resulted in the boot opening and then immediately closing again.

Must have happened three times before she gave up and used the regular button :D

An option box I was happy to leave unticked on my Kodiaq order.

It’s been discussed before.

mine took a while to settle down.

It has proved extremely useful on many occasions.

I can see its usefulness but its implementation across every car i've every tried it on has been awful.

Is always working for me. Be very close with key near boot and then swipe the leg beneath car from left to right or right to left and wait 1-2 seconds.
