We're now a 2 Skoda family!

Hi

Dear wife (well you've got to say that after 32 years) loves my recently purchased Superb Elegance 2.8 V6 but felt it was a) a little too big for her B) she doesn't like automatics:eek:

Outcome is that she's been treated to an 05 Ambiente 1.4 16V 100 BHP Fabia which we collected yesterday from the Skoda dealer. So far, so good. BUT she wants to know why she doesn't have the information display all lit up like the Elegance. The rectangular screen is there and it displays various symbols when the ignition is switched on but then goes completely blank. I've tried the rocker switch just in case it was in the off position but can't get anything to appear.

Should this model have the big display? The handbook has the vague * suggesting it is an option on some models but doesn't say which ones.

Any info on that point or general tips about this model gratefully received.

dont think so mate. if its what i think your talkin about i thiught my vrs would have it but it never.

Do you mean the Maxidot? This is only fitted to Fabia's with sat nav I believe and I'm not sure how retro-fittable it is....

Chris
