radio problem

for the past 2 weeks i've been getting a little or none reception on my 'aftermarket' panasonic radio.i can't get mw stations and only radio 2 on fm.

anything to do with the aeriel ?

I've a feeling that the standard Skoda head units have a signal booster built into them, so if you buy an aftermarket HU you need a separate signal booster as well if you want radio reception. If it was working in the past, it could be that the signal booster has a loose connection, or it may have gone West completely. Not sure what the best advice would be in terms of DIY fixes though, I'm afraid...

[edit] Just re-read your post, and if you can't get MW either, it's probably a fault with the HU, as although FM reception uses a separate aerial, the coil for AM reception will be inside the HU as far as I know... [/edit]
