Had a Fabia Vrs for about a year now and am well chuffed with it, but am now looking to add some xenon bulbs, however the battery compartment obstructs the off side light cluster. What would be the implications of removing the battery?

I changed my bulbs the other day.

You don't have to remove the battery in order to change the bulbs. The clear plastic casing behind the headlight should come off with a bit of patience and there is ample room to remove and change your bulbs. I changed my sidelights, dipped and main beams with the help of a friend and it took 10-15mins each side tops. In terms of removing the battery I can't see it causing to much trouble although I would try and change them without removing it first, unless of course you have David Seaman goalkeeper hands

It can be done with the battery in place, although it helps to remove the front cover. Only implications of removing the battery are that you'll lose your trip computer stored info and the one-touch operation of your windows. The clock will also need adjusting
