poor green filter fit

Featured Replies

bought and fitted green cotton panel filter today , are they always such a poor fit in airbox ?:thumbdwn: i did read on the forum a bit ago that there may be a fit problem but thought it may have been a one off , has anybody been able to make it a tighter fit in the airbox i.e. stretch it to size  or i may even fit a kn filter instead. also fitted pd160 intake pipe yesterday , not too bad a job but i'd advise anybody to make sure it doesn't chaff on the coolant pipes on L.H.S. of it , i undid one of the hose clips and twisted the top hose slightly to get a gap between intake pipe and hoses .

Yep all the Green filters I've seen for the Fabia seem to be a bit too small so it just needs a little stretch to sit correctly :D

Chris

Stretch it a tad, it's fine after that. Must admit it could really do with an improvement but it's not that bad :)

K&N would be a great alternative, perhaps dab down the oil a bit on those pre-fitting to avoid trouble, beyond that they're good.

Must mention the infamous (for whatever reason :D ) Dragon Filters as well, that appear to work well & came up a few times in the past :)
