Is this normal on the headlight MK3 headlight switch - 

 

When AUTO is on its a bright yellow. The sidelights when on is a bright green but the main beam stays the same low brightness green when on with AUTO or manually on?

 

Normal or defective bulb or switch?

 

See pics on how bright AUTO and sidelights are but main beam never gets brighter. Camera is making all lights seem brighter.

 

 

Completley Normal.

 

In auto when the side light bulb is bright green the Dipped headlights are on.  If you move the switch to the side light position only those lights are on, another turn of the switch puts on the dipped head lights.

 

If you want your side lights on with the Fogs you need to turn the switch to the side light position. If you put the Fogs on in Auto the dipped headlights are also on.
