Cruise control switch action/location

Featured Replies

With the cruise control switch being located on the end of the stalk that also operates the headlamp flasher does any one else find that sometimes they accidentaly flash other drivers if they don't press the switch perfectly in order to stop the stalk moving? I try to be careful but even so it happens sometimes especially if the finger tips are greasy. I think it should be a paddle or button located on the back of the steering wheel away from other controls.

When I first got my Fabia I did it occasionally but I've got used to operating it now and don't do it anymore (I'll  probably keep doing it again now you've mentioned it) :D

Just out of interest this is just one of three types of CC that have been fitted to various Skodas and, IMO, the worst of the three. The best is the one built into the steering wheel and the other has its own operating stalk on the left  below the headlamp flasher stalk.
