Too sensitive

Featured Replies

No,not me,but the auto lights on my Fabia.

Travelling back to Lancashire from Devon, along the M5 and M6 yesterday something irritated me about my auto lights.

In bright sunshine, very often, but not always, the auto lights would switch on when going under a bridge or going from dazzling light into shadows from high hedges and trees at the side of the carriageway.

I'm sure this also irritated drivers in front who thought I might be flashing the headlights and trying to get their attention.

Yes I know I can switch auto off,but surely I shouldn't have to and have found them convenient and a safety factor before now.

Is there a problem and has anyone else had this on their Fabia?

Dead annoying, to other drivers,

just put on Dipped Beam & Sidelights and know what is on, or sidelights, or DRL's and be party to what is happening rather

than leave the car in charging of inappropriate lights quite often.

Dipped Beam and Sidelight is not annoying others is it, not like DRL's are in poor visibility, poor daytime light. & no rear lights on.

Same on my Yeti.  One of the reasons I never use the Auto setting.

Not much in the way of comments about this with the 6C Polo, but it is annoying a few people on the latest version of Polo.

I only use the auto lights settings on my cars under certain predictable weather conditions, so I can't comment on this with my car or my wife's 2015 Polo 1.2TSI.

I agree that I should be controlling the car rather than it controlling me.

I just wondered if my Fabia had suddenly become more sensitive as I've not noticed it doing this so often before now.

Maybe it's a cunning plan built into the on-board computer sponsored by Bosch,Hella or Valeo.
