Hi everyone

Due to an accident I have retrofitted a vrs front bumper on my 2010 fl Octavia.

Everything is original

I already had drl lights next to fog lights, so wiring wasn't a problem.

Now the issue

The leds come one when using parking lights but dimmed way below what it should be.

Drl don't come on.

What happens is when I pass from parking to drl they do flick very fast to drl intensity.

Byte-18 , tried 5B and nothing

I did find out that 39 was factory byte-18

 

You need to set byte 18 to 00 and find someone that has VCP/ODIS-e who knows how to tweak the lighting config.

 

Did you follow the factory wiring diagram as a vRS have three wires to the LED DRL's where as a non-vRS will only have two for the halogen DRL.

 

Might be worth adding where you are in the world and a full autoscan for context.

Yes the wiring was done correctly

1. Parking light

2. Ground off original drl

3. Power off original drl

 

Had someone with vcp look at it but doesn't know what to change.

Cool, that's not an autoscan but never mind.

 

You need to set byte 18 to 00 then ask your VCP friend to use the PQ35 programmer to read the config and save it as a bcm1 file.

 

Drop the file to me in a PM and I'll take a look then send back a new one.
