Two wet rear footwells

Featured Replies

I have a 2002 fabia estate and have very wet rear footwells, infact I have puddles. I have read the thread about the rear washer causing a problem but I have far too much water in both wells for this to be the cause.

The door seals seem to be okay. I rang my local dealer who were a bit 'vague' about possible causes

Any ideas?

sounds like inner door panel seals , if you take the door trim off , do it in warm weather its easier , you will see a silver steel panel rivetted to the door frame , to do this job properly you really need to take the panel off by drilling out the rivets , but as its probably going to cost money at the stealers i would dry out the seal (under steel panel edge) and apply silicon sealant around the lower half of the steel panel at least 2/3 way up the sides, dry carpets and underfelt as much as poss as well
