Seems 100% sorted I carefully ran the spray using the straw along all the joints including around the window switches and the top of the handle

left it for a few minutes and then wiped everywhere

Sounds promising! Gonna give it a go this weekend after I put in a dash cam. Thanks 33q

I need dry lube many places in my new Karoq. My old Yeti build in august 2014 was a luxury car compare to my new Karoq build in August 2018.

Strange, I'm finding quite the reverse. My Karoq (1.5 DSG Edition) is so far much more solid than the two Yetis I owned. They suffered from creaking roofs, duff window controls and corroding badges.

I wonder if the second production line they opened for the Karoq has had an effect on quality?

Very early days for me as mine's only done 600 miles but the quality feel is way above the Yeti. The doors shut 'just like a Golf'. The design is better.

Having said that I did have to immediately return to the dealers to get the rattling tailgate catch adjusted.

It was fixed quickly and without fuss

The Yeti was the best car I have ever owned in over 45 years and about 27 cars. The Karoq has yet to prove itself but initial impressions are pretty good

I think it’s all about the same

33q - Finally got round to lubing the door handles. Ordered your tried and tested tableau lube and the freshly applied stuff seems to have worked. Hope the effect lasts! Thanks again mate.

An update. Sadly the lube's effect didn't last so I'll show it to the dealer next weekend alongside another observation I made where I get low buzzing sounds when the climate control fan is on. Seems to be from the centre console and louder when I open the glove compartment box.

Mine creaked for the first couple of weeks but have now stopped. Strange but true.

My car needs your special touch ...

Mine have never creaked!

All of the creaking in my Karoq is totally attributable to me

If the Karoq is using the same flimsy front door grab handles as the Kodiaq, then they are woefully under par.

The creaking isn't emanating from where the handle attaches to the door, it's down to the fact that the handle has a joint along it's full length, so when the grab handle is grabbed the two separate plastic pieces rub against each other and creak /squeak, they aren't tight enough.

There is nothing a dealer can do, it's their design. A poor design at that.

I had a 2018 Fabia courtesy car the other week with silent grab handles. Whoever signed off on the design in the Karoq/Kodiaq needs a slap in the face with a wet fish.
