climatronic - dual zone - independent blower fan speed for driver and passenger

Featured Replies

how do i set differing fan speeds for the driver and passenger?

e.g. fan speed 1 for driver and fan speed 3 for passenger.

also if speed 3 is set to passenger, does that mean all 3 seats (front passenger + back seat) share the same fan speed?

The fan speed is the same throughout there is only one fan. It is only themperature in the two ducts that can be altered and then I believe it is recommended by no more than two degrees, though you can set wider difference but the system will probably try to to fight itself on temperature control if you do.

Suggest politely that you read the manual.

This should be mentioned in the Terms of use of the forum ... "don't register unless you've first read the car's user manual" ... :D

If they want people to read them they should remove over half of the pages, I guarantee no information would be lost as every other page is a stupid warning not to be an idiot .

don't drink the coolant

don't over inflate the tyres

never sit in the engine bay with the car running

etc

Never heard of that one before, that's a good one ... ... I'd like to see the warning notice for that on the Tesla cars

If everyone read and understood the manual, this place would be very, very quiet.

I don't think that'd be the case, rather, it would introduce much more experimenting to the car (once you get the basics right) :)

I've seen it on the Octavia forum, the MkII page is deathly quiet now, since the MkIII was launched and slowly takes over.

Having to RTFM would take half the fun out of ownership.

You'll be telling me next not to drive with the bonnet up.

That's OK if you are reversing really fast. Then it's like a monster spoiler. Simply clever.

Doesn't hurt to try (seems fun enough)
