Does anyone know the official Skoda procedure to do a coolant flush on a Mk3 Octavia VRS? And how long it would take roughly? By a dealer, not independent.

Why are you having a 'Coolant Flush' carried out.  Is there some issue and this is being done under warranty?

Hi Offski, the car had some sort of slime in the coolant tank and was losing coolant. I believe this maybe excess oil from a oil cooler fault 10k ago, but not 100% sure and just guessing. 

 

Skoda Assist couldn’t work out what it was and where it was leaking, so it went into a Skoda dealer who decided to flush the system and replace the coolant tank.

 

i just want to know the procedure and how long this should of taken.

 

all work was carried out under warranty.

It may have taken longer than you thought as the car may not have gone into the workshop straight away. Also of they had will have had to flush the system out a number of times to make sure.  Also when you took it in, they will have asked you what time you need the car back for. 

Hi Adrian, thanks for the reply. The time with the dealers isn't an issue as Ive been working on cars for 20 years and understand how everything works :)
