Jap p0rn (safe for work)

Featured Replies

Now im looking about the Jap scene I found these rather sexy looking pics from Apex Motorsports (iirc) latest 200SX demo car, expected output somewhere around 800bhp.

The good news the FWD version of this engine that is fitted to the Sunny/Pulsar GTi-R slots straight into a Primera ;)

Yes please!

would it still fit with the leafblower bolted onto it?

That looks like my turbo. :P

'kin hell, that turbo is almost as big as the block

thats rediculous! how the hell would you cool that thing.

I suspect it might melt the front-end of the car if mounted sideways in a Primera! Having said that, the front end would need cutting off to fit it!

One Word: Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag!

......And so,

....It begins.

That sounds like a challenge to me ;)

my my thats rather large...... why dont they just bolt on a supercharger aswell and be done with it

my my thats rather large......

why thank you ;)

hang on, am i in the wrong thread again

Thick question Alert, but......why is there an xtra exhaust thingie coming off the manifold???

external wastegate?

Damn...that turbo is huge...suppose you'd suffer from a severe case of turbo lag then unless you get yourself a tiny one to make up the loss from low down eh?

Would be interesting if you could get it and fit into your family car :) THAT would be one hell of a sleeping beast.

Yep, a seperate exhaust for the wastegate (aka Screamer pipe) stops the flow of the normal exhaust being disrupted by the dumped boost from the wastegate.

Porsche 993 turbo for example, right hand tailpipe from turbo, left hand from wastegate. Wastegate even has a cat on it.

That's a seriously big turbo!

Seen a Pulsar GTI-R running just over 400bhp & that was quicker than a Lamborghini Diablo. Of course, the Pulsar had 4WD & the Lambo RWD.

The Lambo would have gone round corners though!!

And probably not broken down every 500 yards!!

(I used to own a GTiR)

You do know that the Pulsar is a 4wd wrc car like the impreza/lancer evolution/GT4/cqt/delta integrale etc?

Obviously having owned one I am aware of that, what most people dont know however is that they are still **** round the bends!!

The chassis flex is ridiculous, you'd think they were made out of tin foil, and they are actually front wheel drive 99.9% of the time, they send a very small amount of drive to the rear wheels if the fronts start spinning, but the mechanism that does so is very lazy, so you still get loads of wheelspin before it actually happens!!

And thats before you even start talking about the heatsoak issues from the top mounted 'interwarmer' - no wonder they never won any rallys in em

Ah yes, the GT4 St185 had a nice BBQ grille fitted too.

On winter jap car nights, you could see all the Pulsar and GT4 owners huddled round an open bonnet for hours after they got there.
