New to Skoda, and enjoying.

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

In July I bought a Mk 2 Superb SE Elegance, 2.0 Diesel ( the168 bhp engine) automatic, registered November 2008.  I'm loving it so far.  I do like cars that 1) are less usual and 2) have 'bells and whistles'.  A couple of cars before, I had a Renault Vel Satis Initiale 3.0 diesel.  The Initiale was the highest level of trim on those cars (of which sales flopped mightily in the UK), and now with the full beige leather interior of the Skoda, I feel I'm back in Vel Satis territory!

The umbrella was missing, but I bought one (the proper Skoda one) on Ebay, and as you can imagine, it makes all the difference to the driving experience.....

Some have suggested that the 'Twindoor' boot is gimmicky, but I do find it useful. I would otherwise have held out for an estate model, as I do carry stuff in the boot and like to have easy access, but the Twindoor is very practical.

I took some pics, avoiding any logos or other obvious identifiers, and a couple of friends to whom I sent them on WhatsApp thought the car was a Jaguar....

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Yea - they don't seem to run so well without the brolly:happy:

Welcome along!  I used to find the twindoor useful as well when I had it
