Hi guys,

 

I have just bought back my old Octavia vrs and it still has the same issue it has had for years. 

 

With the the climate control unit turned on it seems to sort of squeal and whistle. It’s an external noise so nothing in the cockpit. Along with this, the air con will not cool. It just blows ambient or hotter air around.

I’ve had it regassed and there were no leaks at all. 

I’ve also swapped the climate unit for one from a friends car and it’s not that. 

 

Should I guess next that it’s the compressor?

Ha yeah it seems they didn’t feel the need.. even during that insane summer heat.
