Hi everyone

 

Just a quick "hello" from me as I join this forum in support of ownership of my new (to me) 2015 Octavia vRS TSI manual hatchback in Corrida Red. 

I've had it for 3 weeks and am really enjoying it, finding excuses to drive anywhere.

Prior to buying I test-drove a couple of local cars with the DSG auto gearbox, but then spotted my car advertised with the 6-speed manual gearbox... which is what I was after really.

Since most of the vRS's sold in NZ are auto wagons I was quite pleased to get hold of something a bit different.

The only change I've made was in fact prior to buying it - I asked the vendor to swap the 18" Pictoris alloys for anthracite Gemini alloys.  Before-and-after photos below.

Had an enjoyable 650km (400 mile) trip home, getting to know the car.

Hi Kiwi, welcome to the forum - hmmmm, 650 clicks, lets see, picked up car in Auckland, but live in windy Wellington - or is it vice-versa ?

Hey thanks for the encouraging comment... I'll post some more pictures once I've worked out how to swap the silver badges for black/colour-coded ones that I've found on my latest website discovery (SuperSkoda).

Thanks for your warm welcome to this new member and first-time Skoda owner (me!)... I know that my car is probably quite common in the UK but I'm really pleased with it, so any compliments are going to be happily received, ha ha.  I've also suddenly been noticing all the Skoda's driving around Wellington (NZ) and mine is the only red liftback that I've seen, so I'm also enjoying having something that is different to everybody else's cars.
