Out of the blue, the rear door (tailgate?) is no longer opening when using the button on the door itself. It can still be opened using the lever next to the driver's seat. I suspect it's something with electronics... Any idea if it's an easy fix?

Try opening one of the rear doors first and see if the tailgate button then works. If it does it's a faulty microswitch in the drivers door lock unit.

It means the microswitch in the drivers door lock unit is faulty. It's a very common problem.
